‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set o end the week with a fun episode and plenty of spoilery goodies to go around.
There’s plenty of fun times ahead as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be willing to risk her daughter’s freedom so she can get off and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) promises Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) that she’s moving on from her vendetta.
Both have the potential to give us some fun moments, even if Phyllis’ storyline is about a couple of months overdue to be ended.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, August 4: Ashley promises peace
It looks like having her daughter turn on her may have snapped out of her revenge kick against Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), but we think it’s just a ploy to get back into Abby’s good graces for her wedding.
This seems the most likely since Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will inform her Phyllis is a lost cause.
But Ashley will keep up the pretense and Abby will be optimistic and agree she’ll try to convince Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to attend.
This smells like a trap since Diane will be with him, and that’ll give Abby and Devon Winters (Bryton James) more than enough reason to hide all of the breakables just in case things so south.
And given the wedding is still being held at the Chancellor estate, we expect things to go south and sideways in a hurry.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, August 4: Daniel’s had enough
“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers were curious how Phyllis would react to having to choose between herself and her daughter, and sadly we aren’t shocked she’s going to choose herself.
Sure, she’ll promise Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) that she’ll find a way to fix things so she and Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) will get off free and clear, but like the rest of us, Daniel knows it won’t happen.
At least, not without some majorly lazy writing like they’ve used to keep this storyline on life support for weeks now.
To be fair, it looks like it’s going to get interesting again when Daniel holds the line and insists Phyllis accept Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell)’s deal and take responsibility for something in her life.
Once he leaves her and has time to think, we have a feeling he’ll once again step up to protect Summer from their mom and that means he’ll probably turn on her and be a witness for Christine.
His hope will probably be to shock Phyllis into waking up and accepting responsibility, but we have a feeling she and Summer will try to stop him.
