Dark Order are done playing nice, and are back to recruiting to grow their numbers. However, it’s been a hard time for them since their peak alongside The Exalted One, the late Brodie Lee.
To get their influence back, they need wins – and gold. Tonight, John Silver will start this battle, as he goes one on one with Anthony Bowens of The Acclaimed, one of the AEW World Trios Champions. A victory tonight could get Dark Order on AEW Grand Slam in a title match – and allow their message to spread.
Keith Lee Urges Shane Taylor To Run – John Silver Shuts Down Anthony Bowens
Before this match, we’d hear from Keith Lee – or that was the plan. Shane Taylor would interrupt, to announce Lee Moriarty is now part of Shane Taylor Promotions.
Last week, Lee told anyone looking for singles glory on AEW to run, but Shane Taylor doesn’t run. Lee would say that this is a mistake – even for an old friend. The former Pretty Boy Killers are set to clash.
Silver would have the microphone before the bell, asking what is going on. He would pull out the contract, which said that Caster & Gunn is banned from ringside.
Originally, Bowens planned to wrestle Evil Uno, and now doesn’t have his partners at ringside for this match. While Caster & Gunn were leaving, Bowens would turn his back – and Silver attacked.
Bowens would manage a series of chops, before a running punch to the jaw. Scoop Slam in the middle of the ring was followed by Bowens scissoring himself – enraging Silver.
He’d regroup on the floor, before getting back into the ring for some stiff strikes on Bowens. Bowens would be set up on the top rope, and sent tumbling to the floor with an Enziguri.
Evil Uno Lives Up To His Name
Silver would follow Bowens to the floor, and hit a running boot to the face before insulting a fan in the front row. More stiff strikes followed in the ring, as Silver maintained complete control.
Bowens would manage a lariat and a modified bulldog, but only got a two count. Silver would trade forearm smashes in the middle of the ring – ending with a big lariat from Bowens.
Bowens would be dropped, but avoided a punt kick from Silver. The battle went to the outside, and Bowens hit the Rolling Elbow.
Evil Uno came out from under the ring, and drove Bowens face first into the ringpost before returning. In the ring, SIlver hit the Punt Kick for the victory.
This is a win that comes at a crucial moment for Dark Order, and if they stay one step ahead of The Acclaimed – we could have new AEW World Trios Champions very soon. Are Dark Order ready to hold gold? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
