Skye Blue is finally #AllElite – with this news coming out earlier this week. One of the hardest workers in the AEW locker room, Blue has been constantly improving, and finds herself on the frontlines of the feud between the AEW Originals & The Outcasts.
Tonight she teams with the first ever AEW Women’s World Champion in Riho to take on Toni Storm & Ruby Soho in tag team action.
The Outcasts Claim Another Victory
Riho would start with Soho, dropping her with a series of dropkicks. Blue would help Riho dive onto The Outcasts, with a crossbody wiping out Soho & Storm.
Some quick thinking from The Outcasts would allow them to gain control over Riho, with Storm hitting a snap suplex before Soho applied a rear chinlock.
Blue would get the tag as Riho fought free, avoiding a hip attack from Storm – sending her to the floor. Storm would take a kick off the apron before a diving hurricanrana took her down. Flying crossbody in the ring would get a two count, with Soho there to break the pinfall up.
Riho & Blue set up a tag team crucifix bomb, with Soho helping to save Storm again. Running hip attack and Storm Zero would follow – ending this match.
Riho would take a triple powerbomb, with Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker rushing the ring to make the save. Saraya narrowly avoided the curb stomp from Baker – and knew she was seconds from being crushed.
Keith Lee Clashes With Chris Jericho In Main Event
Last week, Chris Jericho decided to call out the disrespect of Adam Cole. Not only did he beat Daniel Garica, but took the time to gloat after the bell like some big damn hero. Midway through his rant, Jericho would be confronted by Keith Lee – a man who knows a lot about Adam Cole.
Cole is not his friend, but Lee doesn’t thing Jericho was on base by calling him ‘disrespectful’ – especially when Jericho has done nothing but disrespect the AEW roster for years. Tonight, Lee faces Jericho – and looks to teach him some respect.
Jericho would throw some chops at the chest of Lee, who shrugged them off before a big shoulder tackle. Grizzly Magnum chop was blocked in the corner, with Jericho hitting low before some forearm smashes.
Lee would be able to force Jericho into the corner again, hitting a body splash. Scoop Slam would follow, with Lee setting up a moonsault – only for Garcia to distract.
Lee was sent to the apron, and Jericho hit the Triangle Dropkick. Double Axe Handle in the ring would drop Lee, and Jericho would gloat in the ring before hitting a missile dropkick.
Lionsault would follow, but Lee would have a dominant kick out. Lee would run Jericho down with some lariats, before setting up the Biel Toss – with Garcia making the save.
Jericho was lifted into a Bear Hug – but was able to fight free. Lee would look for the Spirit Bomb – but Jericho would slip free. Jericho was dropped with a pounce and Lee went for the moonsault.
While Jericho was able to get his knees up, Lee landed hard and was able to catch a stumbling Jericho with a chokeslam – getting a two count.
Adam Cole Checks On Lee After Messy Finish
Jericho was able to get the Walls Of Jericho applied on Lee, with the ropes allowing Lee to get free. Lee would catch a rushing Jericho with the big chop before tossing him across the ring. Garcia would get involved again, and Lee just opted to toss him across the ring before hitting a double lariat.
Codebreaker from Jericho was caught into a powerbomb, with Garcia distracting the referee. Swerve Strickland would hit the ring and smash Lee with a boombox, allowing Jericho to cover the win.
Lee had the match won – but Swerve had other plans for his old tag team partner. After the bell, Adam Cole would hit the ring to check on Lee, showing some sportsmanship before glaring back at Jericho in the ring.
