We all love spoilers in one way or another, though it’s often more fun to see things play out without know what’s coming.
Personally, I’m in the middle as I love not knowing what’s coming, but spoilers don’t take away from my joy of watching something play out live.
It’s for that reason I’m going to hem and haw a little here to give anyone who doesn’t want to know what’s going to happen on September 15’s Rampage a chance to back out of this article.
Final warning.
Now’s your chance to leave before you get a peak.
Three… Two… One…
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!
Can’t say you weren’t warned.
As is standard with AEW, they taped this week’s AEW Rampage following Wednesday (9/13) night’s AEW Dynamite from the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio and they’ll air the show tonight (9/15).
These spoilers come curtesy of Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The Lucha Brothers and The Hardys will defeat Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, The Butcher, and The Blade. The Kingdom will stand tall against Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal.
The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn will prevail over Peter Avalon and The Outrunners.
In the main event, Jade Cargill will face Kris Statlander in rematch for te TBS Championship, and with the news that she’s expected to leave AEW for the WWE when her contract expires, it’s not a surprise that she’ll lose this match to Statlander.
After the match, the two will show each other respect as it appears Cargill will be doing business.
Passing the torch
It’s not a surprise given how that’s how things are usually done when someone’s leaving a company. Of course, things could change since her leaving is a rumor at this point.
There’s a chance she could remain despite being in a holding pattern as they could’ve come up with something for her to progress her character.
Still, it’s a great way to put Statlander over and pass the torch to her as she can begin pushing her career to new heights.
Sometimes all we need is a new environment and creative ideas to give a rebirth of sorts, and Cargill should do well in the WWE and it’d be fun to see her across from Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Asuka, and more.
With so much potential, tonight should be a fun one since it could be Cargill’s last match and it’ll be nice to see her going out in style like it appears she is.
