- So, what’s going on with young Brock Anderson, the son of AEW producer Arn Anderson. The last time he was an August 2023 showdown against Luchasaurus for the TNT Championship. He would lose but his performance has been noted as being good—he took a basic but convincing spanking.
Has Brock Anderson Re-Signed with AEW
So, did Brock Anderson sign a new AEW contract or is he out of the company? That’s a difficult question to answer because Anderson isn’t exactly a star performer on the roster and if he were re-signed it wouldn’t be massive news or anything unless there were plans in the works for him.
Besides the Varsity Blondes, there never any actual plane built toward Brock. The tag team with Brian Pillman Jr. was it for Anderson at that point. You could say that even the AEW World Tag Team titles weren’t in their futures as this pairing.
It always seemed like these two were bound to have near brushes with title shots but never win it before being broken up and placed in a singles feud. Instead, it just ended with the team being broken up, Pillman leaving, and Brock Anderson having to find his place in AEW. As you’ve seen by how much he’s been on AEW television, it’s not going well, exactly.
So, whether he’s re-signed is a piece of news we’ll have to wait and see. There are still many years left in the wrestler’s career for him to improve and find himself on the mic. He would also need someone to have a program with that will really set his career on a strong path.
Of course, that’s only if AEW finds a reason to keep him around. The company can always use undercard talent but the undercard always has talent that can rise up the ladder—it’s just a matter of if he makes the most of opportunities and how crowded the undercard is.
An undercard packed with talent and experience will be tough to deal with—especially for Brock. For the record, his contract was up at the end of August but no more was mentioned about if he had renewed his deal. What do you think? Is Brock Andersson still with AEW or has he left like his Varsity Blondes teammate? Let us know below.
