    WWE Smackdown Results (9/1) – John Cena Disagreed with Jimmy Uso Saying he’s the Same as Roman Reigns; Austin Theory and Grayson Waller Defeated LWO (Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar) w/Zelina Vega by Pinfall

    Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!

    This should be a fun episode as John Cena returns and there’s been reports he’s going to have his own tribute to Bray Wyatt as well.

    With plenty of action ready to set the stage for Payback, let’s get to the action!

    After a recap of Jey Uso leaving the Bloodline and WWE, John Cena started the show off by heading to the ring and welcome us to a live Smackdown coming from Hershey, Pennsylvania.

    He thanked the fans for giving him 20 years of running and sliding into the ring. It never gets old and no matter how busy he is he’ll always thank the fans for all they’ve given and continue to give.

    Cena then thanked the fans for giving him the opportunity to be on Smackdown for months, traveling to India, and hosting Payback. He gave his word he’ll do everything he can to pay fans back and went into a promo on Smackdown in general for tonight.

    Jimmy Uso interrupted him and came out to a chorus of boos and chants of “We want Jey!”

    Jimmy asked Cena what’s he’s doing there and told the fans not to boo him as he asked the question again and that the fans came to see him.

    He said the fans want to know why, and he said it’s simple. He’d save his brother ten times over. He doesn’t care if everyone disagrees with him, he loves him.

    He didn’t want Jey to be corrupted like Reigns and Cena, and then called Cena out for being exactly like Roman Reigns because he keeps taking. The only difference is Cena does it with a smile.

    Cena told him the wrong Uso quit, and when Jimmy went to hit a superkick Cena blocked it and Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment.

    LWO (Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar) w/Zelina Vega vs. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller

    Escobar and Waller started it off, and Escobar caught him with a dropkick off the ropes for a pin attempt, then locked in a wrist lock and tagged in Rey.

    Rey sent Waller to the floor, and when Theory tried to grab him from behind he sent him out, then Escobar helped toss Rey over the top rope to take them out with a cross body.

    Waller and Theory took control during the commercial break and pulled some cool tricks on the ref to incense Escobar and double team Rey.

    Rey ducked and Wallers nailed Theory by accident to send him to the floor, then rolled him into the ring to tag in and ate a DDT from Rey for his trouble.

    Escobar tagged in and took it to Theory and Waller before hitting a hurricanrana on Waller for a pin attempt Theory broke up.

    Escobar shoved Rey out of the way and took a spear from Theory and Rey took Theory to the floor. Waller took advantage to hit a rolling stunner for the win.
