A royal commentator has suggested that the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, will ultimately bear the consequences of the considerable upheaval and transformation the Royal Family has experienced in recent years.
Kate Middleton May Have To Pay The Price For Harry And Meghan’s Royal Departure-Says Royal Expert Daniela Elser
The Royal Family has been reduced in size now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to step away from their roles.
The relinquishing of their military and royal patronages by both Meghan and Harry, similar to what Prince Andrew has done, implies that the other Royal Family members with HRH titles will have to work even harder.
Since Kate and Prince William are the only two royals under the age of 50 who are actively engaged in their duties, it is probable that they will be required to fulfil a large portion of the patronages, engagements, and foreign tours in the foreseeable future.
Daniela Elser, who happens to be a royal expert, had this to say: “The loss of the Sussexes from the royal fold dealt the Royal Family not only a serious reputational blow but a hands-on one too.
“[Kate could end up] paying the price for much [of the] tumult and change.” Nevertheless, this does provide an opportunity for growth in other ways.
First of all, the younger generation of royals will have an opportunity to step up. This has already been seen with Prince George and Princess Charlotte having made their inroads into royal engagements.
Secondly, it gives Kate an opportunity to leave behind her own legacy. The fans on social media backed Kate to adjust to things moving forward. This was on the grounds that there was a support network in place to deal with whatever may come her way.
One person wrote: “The Earl and Countess of Wessex can and are helping in fact they have shouldered a lot. They both have a good decade in them and by that time George and Charlotte will be beginning to help.”
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
