Following her recent steamy photo post on social media, Paulina Porizkova has responded to her critics.
58-Year-Old Model Paulina Porizkova Reacts After Being Trolled-‘This Is Just Getting Embarrassing’
The supermodel shared a photo of herself wearing black lingerie and a red sweater that she claims to have knitted herself. In the post, she joked about being a “grandma” by the fireplace.
She had a massive smile on her face and could not have been any happier. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Almost 58? Grandma, knitting, fireplace?
“Check, check, check, check! I’m the proud step grandma of five. I’ve knitted the sweater I’m wearing- and yes, I’m standing by a fireplace. So this is what almost 58 looks like for me today.”
Those comments received a lot of backlash for the following reasons. First of all, a certain subset of people were of the view that Paulina was coming across as desperate given that she was almost approaching her sixties.
Therefore, it was seen as a publicity stunt. Secondly, others began to mock her appearance as the comments were brutal indeed. And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media.
One person wrote: “This is just getting embarrassing. I almost wore the same thing today,” while another person stated: “Aging happens to everyone…even supermodels. Just remember you are not 21 y/o any longer.
“The soul is more important than the body.” With that being said, Paulina felt she had no choice but to come out and hit back at her critics.
And her comments focused on the fact that she was not trying to set any standards of beauty, but rather express how she was feeling with regards to her body.
In response, Paulina remarked: “I’m not trying to represent all women of my age. How could I? How could anyone? Don’t we all look different and isn’t that where our beauty lies? In our uniqueness?”
