Last night at AAA Guerra De Titanes, a man who recently left WWE showed up to clean house. Sadly it was not Luke Harper in a lucha mask, but rather Sin Cara! He came down in his familiar mask and to the same music he used in WWE, and threw everyone out of the ring, making his intentions clear. He is in AAA to rule, and show exactly why he deserved better in WWE.
The shocking part of this was that he didn’t change anything about his gimmick, with him using the same mask and music as he was known for in WWE. Copyright laws aren’t as strict in Mexico, and he likely will make some changes soon, but until then we very well might just see him as Sin Cara, and not under any different name.
His History With AAA
Sin Cara has not wrestled for AAA since 2005 according to Cagematch.net, where he wrestled under the name Incognito. Maybe we will see him return to that name, or he could take a few pointers from the original Sin Cara who upon returning to Mexico combined Sin Cara with his old ring name, Mistico. He is now known is Caristico. Maybe we will see Incognistico be a new moniker for Sin Cara. The 42 year old will likely be working with AAA long term, and we could see them capitalize on the return hype in a big way.
Could We See Kenny Omega vs. Sin Cara?
For those keeping up with AAA, they would know Kenny Omega currently holds their top title, the Mega Championship. He defeated Rey Fenix for it, and has since defended against Jack Evans & Dragon Lee. While no one has been clamoring for Omega vs. Cara, I feel like with the hype this return generated, they should go ahead and make sure to get that match to happen asap. Omega would have Cara looking like an absolute star, and it would only be a good thing for everyone involved.
What do you think about Sin Cara returning to AAA under the same gimmick as he used in WWE? Should he keep it or change things up? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below. Be sure to come back to The Overtimer for more pro wrestling news and updates.
