In an all too familiar situation, Mustafa Ali is trying to get out of his WWE contract. He requested his release, and WWE refused. This will likely mean Ali will be sat at home for the rest of his WWE contract, unable to wrestle elsewhere.
If this sounds familiar, it’s likely because both PAC & Brodie Lee found themselves in similar situations in the past, and they’re just the two names that come to mind. It might be a while before we see Ali show up on TV again – and Ali has revealed how long the wait could be.
Mustafa Ali Expects To Not Be Seen On TV For The Next Two Years
Taking to Twitter to once again vent his frustrations, Ali would have the following to say.
”i’ll see ya all in like 2 1/2 years”
This is easily noted as the remaining length on Mustafa Ali’s WWE contract. While there is a chance he will find himself in the next batch of mass releases from the company, WWE seem keen on proving something with their treatment of Ali. He was last seen on WWE TV back in October of 2021, where he lost to Drew McIntyre. Ali remains a part of the Smackdown brands roster.
Keith Lee Offers Words Of Support
Said treatment of Ali has prompted some talent to reach and support Ali, with Keith Lee being one of the more notable names. Lee recently made headlines all around the world for his AEW debut following his WWE release back in late 2021. He had the following to say to Ali.
Keep your head up homie. You’re far from done.
The moment Ali is free from his WWE contract, we can expect him to make an instant impact wherever he might land. It’s hard to judge where the professional wrestling world will even be within the next two and a half year. However, a talent like Ali will always be worth bringing in, even if this time off TV will seriously cool off his hype.
