Prince Andrew has been sighted for the very first time since he officially settled his rape case with Virginia Giuffre. Last month, the embattled royal was forced to fork out $12m to settle his sexual assault case with Mrs. Giuffre bringing an end to the case.
Guiffre accused the Duke of York of sexually abusing her thrice while she was still a minor and was given the green light by a US-based court to proceed with the case even though Prince Andrew had also sought to dismiss it.
Prince Andrew Has Been In Hiding Since The Rape Case
Due to the intense public criticism that emanated from the financial settlement, Prince Andrew had reportedly decided to hide away from the press and public attention. However, the Duke of York was spotted driving out of Windsor Castle today in a Range Rover with AirPods in his ears which may suggest that the disgraced Prince is trying to get his mind off the recent turn of events.
Prince Andrew Seen For The First Time In Public Since Resolving Rape Case With $12 Million Payout
Besides the personal payment to be made to Guiffre, Prince Andrew had also promised to support her charity organization that provides help to victims of sexual assault.
Prince Andrew has never publicly denied having an intimate knowledge of a 17-year Giuffre but only delivered a press release claiming that he “regretted his association with Epstein’ and pledged to demonstrate this ‘by supporting the fight against the evils of sex trafficking, and by supporting its victims”.
Moreover, according to trending reports in the British press, Prince Charles is providing part of the settlement bill for Prince Andrew’s sexual assault case. Based on reports, Prince Charles is lending his brother close to $7m from his purse to settle the case as the ultimatum is reportedly winding down.
However, some royal experts have suggested that Prince Andrew will pay back the money after he sells his ski chalet in Verbier, Switzerland. Prince Andrew’s sexual assault case with Virginia Guiffre is arguably the most disgraceful royal controversy in recent years.
