Since defeating Dangerous Tekkers at Wrestle Kingdom, Bisahmon has been all but unstoppable in the tag team division. Tonight however, a singles loss from YOSHI-HASHI to Jeff Cobb would open the door for United Empire to look and claim some gold. Cobb & Great-O-Khan have been all but unstoppable as a tag team – and tonight has a chance to prove that with some gold.

Great-O-Khan would flaunt his certificate of appreciation from the police in Japan. He had recently saved a young girl from a potentially horrible situation, as a man tried to corner her. Instead, O-Khan would go after the man – scaring him off before offering the young girl pancakes and telling mother and child to watch him in NJPW.

United Empire Claim The IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships

Bishamon would anticipate the attack from the United Empire before the bell – and were able to start with the advantage. Cobb was tripped right onto O-Khan, before being beaten with the War Drum. O-Khan took the clubbing blows next, before YOSHI-HASHI would take the ring solo against O-Khan.

Some fast strikes would see YOSHI-HASHI dropped, and Cobb would flaunt his power before riding YOSHI-HASHI like a surfboard. More humiliation would follow as O-Khan would sit on him in the corner – before a pump kick to the face. YOSHI-HASHI would hit the running blockbuster, before completing the tag.

Goto would meet O-Khan hard in the ring with a lariat, before trying to suplex Cobb onto his partner. Cobb fought the attempt but was sent away from the ring. O-Khan took the reverse GTR – but was able to kick out before the three count. Cobb would hit the ring with a standing dropkick before the running backdrop. Moonsault would miss, and Goto completed the tag to YOSHI-HASHI.

Dropkick to the knee would follow, before YOSHI-HASHI hit a neckbreaker. United Empire applied a double team variant of Sheep Killer, before Cobb hit a standing moonsault for a near fall. Bishamon would set up the Ushigoroshi before looking to Shoto on Cobb, but O-Khan made the save.

YOSHI-HASHI would nail the Destroyer on Cobb, before hitting Shoto in the ring – with O-Khan making the last minute save. Cobb would block the attempt at Karma only to be taken into a kneebar. O-Khan was held back, but was able to fight off Goto to make the save.

YOSHI-HASHI was nailed with the Wrist Clutch Eliminator before Goto took the Imperial Drop. Tour of the Islands would land on YOSHI-HASHI – and we have IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions! This is the first title victory of O-Khan, but certainly not his last.

SHO Strikes Fast Against El Desperado

SHO has been persistent in looking for a shot at El Desperado – and attacked him numerous times during the New Japan Cup tour. Now tonight, he has a chance to claim singles gold in NJPW for the first time – as he battles for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. El Desperado has taken to being champion, and tonight is the ultimate test of if he is worthy to be champion.

SHO would strike from behind before the bell, driving Desperado into the ring post. He would choke Desperado his shirt, before throwing him into the barricade. The match was underway at this point, and Desperado would take control as they hit the ring – stomping SHO out in the corner.

SHO was sent back to the floor, but as Desperado looked for a dive – he’d find a steel chair to the skull instead. The referee was down and did not see that – and SHO would follow up by tearing at the mask of Desperado. On the floor, Desperado was hit with the chair again – but was able to get back into the ring before the count of 20.

He’d make the apron, before being launched off and landed right onto the barricade. There was concern of a broken hip, but SHO did not care. He’d pull Desperado into the ring, and apply the Kimura lock. Desperado was able to get the bottom rope, and get out of the hold.

Not giving up yet, Desperado would take SHO down to the outside. Desperado risked the dive again, and would land this time before a primal yell. Back into the ring, Desperado would go up top and nail the Mad Splash – getting a two count.

SHO would be able to get the Snake Bite applied, but Desperado found the bottom rope with his foot. Hard kicks to the chest would follow, before SHO hit a heavy lariat. Desperado shot back with a back elbow before taking a spear.

Pinche Loco was attempted – but SHO shoved Desperado into the referee before hitting a low blow. Desperado would nail the Bastard Driver as a response, as SHO grabbed the wrench. SHO would hit the Cross armed piledriver before again applying Snakebite. Desperado would start to fade, but again found the bottom rope.

Shock Arrow was blocked, but again SHO nailed a low blow after the referee was bumped. A punch to the jaw would be the receipt, with a second following. Pinche Loco landed, and this one was over.
