In a last minute addition to the AEW Dynamite card tonight, Blackpool Combat Club is set for another trios fight. After handing The Gunn Club their first trios loss – they will take on a trio of very talented up and coming talents. Lee Moriarty, Brock Anderson & Dante Martin will try to show they are just as violent as the BCC.
Blackpool Combat Club Show Trios Dominance
This one would start fast with a brawl. Moxley went after Anderson, Danielson after Moriarty, and Yuta would focus on Martin in the ring. Bow & Arrow Stretch was applied, but Martin slipped free. Danielson got the tag, and dished out his trademark heavy strikes on Martin in the corner – with a dropkick as the punctuation mark.
Martin would slip free and show his speed, taking out Danielson & Moxley with dropkicks. Anderson tagged in, looking like a carbon copy of his legendary father – and hitting just as hard. Moxley would be able to gain the upper hand. Blackpool Combat Club would start to isolate Anderson, with Yuta showing his brutal side during his time in the ring.
Danielson would look for the submission with a cross armbreaker, before tagging into Moxley for some extra damage. Moriarty would show some life and cut Blackpool Combat Club down to size – the hometown hero in this match. He was showing some violence to Danielson, and nailed a backdrop driver and got the Border City Stretch.
Danielson countered out with a RegalPlex. Martin got a tag alongside Moxley, but the Nose Dive was blocked into a rear naked choke. This one broke down into a brawl with BPP winning out before Moxley nailed the Paradigm Shift for the win.
Adam Cole Needs The Undisputed Elite To Stand Together
Following this match, we’d catch up with the Undisputed Elite – and they’d issue an open challenge for a ten man tag team match next week on Dynamite. The Young Bucks seem rather indifferent to all this – and didn’t show any of their usual energy, with Adam Cole just begging them to show up in rare form next week.
Samoa Joe meanwhile would say that he’s impressed with the size of Satnam Singh. He’s ready to slay a titan if that is what it takes – and if Jay Lethal thinks this is enough to defeat him, he doesn’t know his teacher very well.
NJPW & AEW To Run Supershow On June 26th
The last time Tony Khan appeared on AEW programming, it was to announce that he has bought Ring of Honor. Now, he’s set to make another major announcement on AEW programming, and fans are abuzz with speculation. Did he buy another company? Is he launching a new weekly show for Ring of Honor? It could be anything –
Tony Khan would hit the ramp – and brought out the president of New Japan Pro Wrestling to join him tonight. Adam Cole would hijack everything and say that on June 26th we will see a supershow – with AEW & NJPW Forbidden Door in the United Center. Also, on AEW Rampage – Adam Cole battles Tomohiro Ishii in an Owen Hart Memorial Cup qualifying match.
He’d also bring ‘Switchblade’ Jay White out – the man who sold out Madison Square Garden the last time NJPW tried to run a huge show in the states. It’s still his era – and intends to be at Forbidden Door.
