Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer is suing a San Diego woman for making up false rape allegations. The woman in question—Lindsey Hill—accused the 2018 All-Star of sexual assault at the end of June 2021.
L.A Dodgers’ Pitcher Trevor Bauer Sues Sexual Assault Accuser
The alleged assault took place Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Hill and Bauer had talked regularly on Instagram before she drove from San Diego to L.A to meet him. She claims that things started out consensual before going left on two separate occasions.
In their first encounter, Hill said that Bauer choked her out with her own hair during consensual sex. According to Lindsey Hill, he would have sex with her while she was unconscious and taunted her the following morning by asking “You feeling a little sore this morning?”
Bauer and Hill would link up weeks later on Saturday, May 15. Apparently, the two came to an agreement on a safe word only for Bauer to choke her out once again during sex. Hill claims that the Dodgers pitcher was punching her in the face and head when she woke up and told her “You’re safe. I’m here.” She would have photos taken of her injuries and get a rape kit done at another hospital.
Trevor Bauer has denied the accusation since last year and filed his lawsuit yesterday, Monday, April 25. In the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, he claims that the choking and the sex were consensual and that he never scratched or struck the woman.
The former Cleveland Indians player accused Hill of altering her injuries and filing a false report to kill his career in the MLB and pick up a settlement. Also being sued is Hill’s lawyer Fred Thiagarajah whom Bauer claims assisted with making the injuries appear worse.
Trevor Bauer signed with the Dodgers in February 2021 on a three-year, $102 million deal. However, he wouldn’t play a full season with the team as he’d been placed on administrative leave while the Dodgers investigated the accusations internally.
