‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
We’re in for another character building episode, but this one’s going to have some fun plot seeds for the future.
Let’s dive in and see what’s happening.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 20: Preventing Diane’s next move
Now that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) did the unforgivable of having a friend in Genoa City, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) are going to put their heads together to counteract this.
It’s no secret they don’t like Diane, and ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers suspect they’re going to focus on Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and turning him against her.
We doubt that’ll work, so maybe they’ll focus on trying to get to her through Michael in some way, which means there will be plenty of scheming going on.
Of course, we could be totally wrong and they’ll pretend Michael doesn’t exist as they plot how to make Diane disappear. One thing we’re sure of, it doesn’t look like Diane will be the one to escalate things.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 20: Esther’s new beginning
It’s been a while since we got to see Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) in more than an occasional supporting role, and this may be a sign of her becoming more involved in Genoa City.
Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will help her begin a new chapter of her life, and we think it’ll have something to do with her and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan)’s new company.
We expect it’ll be as something more than an investor, and it’ll be fun to see Esther stretch her wings a little more.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 20: Kyle’s decision
It looks like the clock is ticking on Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) making a decision about whether or not to allow Diane back into his life.
But we have a feeling this will be about something else, and it’ll involve Summer Newman (Allison Lanier)’s idea for Jabot to buy Marchetti and move their base of operations to Genoa City.
Since Summer’s coming back, it makes sense they’ll act on this. As for Diane, it’s way too early for that storyline to move. We have to suffer and wait some more for Kyle’s sake.
