During 2021, there was a lot of hype surrounding Parker Boudreaux in WWE. He was a top prospect upon being signed, with many comparing him to the legendary Brock Lesnar. However, after being saddled with a bad gimmick in NXT 2.0 and failing to show much improvement, WWE would cut him from their roster. If things had worked out – he might have even been a member of Edge’s new faction, The Judgement Day.
Edge Wanted Parker Boudreaux In The Judgement Day
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer would publish the following about Bordreaux in WWE.
“As it turns out, even though he did not get great recommendations from people in NXT, Parker Boudreaux aka Harland had been hand picked by Edge to be the fourth person in The Judgement Day. Ringside News reported it and we were told very few and he was one of the few who knew. They even kept it from Boudreaux, but it is accurate. The only thing we were told as to why it didn’t happen is that the company found something out about Boudreaux and made the decision based on that. The other reason is because of the feeling in NXT that he had stopped improving and he got a tag of getting hurt too much early on.”
Things surrounding his release remain incredibly vague. Some are assuming Bordreaux had a health condition – leading to his injury prone nature and ultimately his release.
Already Has Interest From Major League Wrestling
However, quickly after being released – Bordeaux would find interest from Major League Wrestling. He’s expected to make his debut once the 30 day non-compete clause on his WWE contract is up. Bordeaux is already generating hype for his return to the ring, and will actually be able to show his true personality this time around.
He’s still got a future in the industry, and might well find his way back to WWE in time. As it stands, we really have no idea what he can do in the ring – as the Harland character mainly served as the muscle for Joe Gacy.
