NXT UK Takeover Blackpool II is underway as I type this folks! I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you the live recap and results from the show as they come! We just saw a triple threat match conclude, where Kay Lee Ray put up her NXT UK Women’s Championship against Toni Storm and Piper Niven! Storm is the woman KLR took the title from in the first place. Piper was notably having her first match since a bout of Bell’s Palsy struck her a month ago.
Both Kay Lee Ray and Toni Storm are also noted for recent appearances on NXT proper. The two of them were on the same side at Survivor Series, but have been bitter enemies for several months.

Niven with a Michinoku Driver on KLR for a very close nearfall! “Let’s Go Piper” chant! Piper wants another Michinoku Driver but KLR counters with a Gory Bomb! Cover, but Toni Storm grabs the hand of the ref to stop the count! KLR with a suicide dive wipes Storm out! Back in the ring, she wants a powerbomb, but Piper counters, CANADIAN DESTROYER?! Storm kicks her to prevent the pin though, Storm Zero on KLR!!! PIPER BARELY BREAKS IT UP IN TIME! Loud “NXT” chant!
Storm pulls KLR up, another Storm Zero takes her right onto Piper’s back! As KLR rolls out of the ring, Toni pulls Piper up… Angel’s Wings?! Nearfall! Toni up top, frog splash… but KLR with an immediate thrust kick to the face of Toni! Covers Piper, and that’s that, she steals the win!
Winner: Kay Lee Ray
At the end of the day, it was always pretty likely that KLR retained her title here. But it was a stunner of a match all the same, action packed as one would hope for from a triple threat.
