Wheeler Yuta is just behind El Phantasmo in terms of points, and with his back against the wall tonight – has a chance to get the win, and a very important tie-breaker as well. El Phantasmo is still feeling the pain of his war against Robbie Eagles, and the extra damage done at the hands of TJP. Yuta is likely nowhere near 100% this deep into the tournament, but could be at an advantage here tonight against ELP.

Yuta would attack ELP before the bell, stomping him into the corner before nailing a dropkick. ELP was sent to the floor, and Yuta kept the pressure on with a dive to the floor. Hammer & Anvil elbows would land on the floor, before ELP tried to use the ring post as a weapon. Yuta slipped through the ropes instead, but got caught with a big boot.

ELP would hit the Death Rider on the floor, perhaps sending a message to Jon Moxley – before asking for the call out. Yuta was able to get back into the ring, but ELP kept control. He’d call for the running Liger Bomb, but Yuta blocked with some smart punches before a crossbody off the top rope.

Manhattan Drop into the Enziguri would land, before ELP missed the lionsault. Seatbelt Clutch would be applied, but ELP managed to wiggle out before three. Yuta would slap ELP across the face before hitting PainThriller and applying Cattle Mutilation.

ELP would fight free, only to take the running knee strike. A modified tombstone would land, before the Hammer & Anvil elbows. Seatbelt Clutch was blocked, before ELP hit Sudden Death for a near fall. CR2 would land, granting ELP the victory. With this, three men are alive in B-Block – El Phantasmo, El Desperado, and Robbie Eagles. The main event will see if that remains.

Yoshinobu Kanemaru Takes SHO Down In Record Time

SHO has fancied himself quite the rule breaker in this tournament, getting all 8 of his points through cheating means. However tonight, he faces someone who practically wrote the book on being a rule breaker, in Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Both of his wins came from strong game plans, but he’s still able to cheat with the best of them, having truly earned the nickname of Heel Master.

SHO was paranoid on his way down to the ring, knowing Kanemaru could literally be anywhere for a sneak attack. SHO must win tonight to stay in the mix of A-Block, and has every reason to be anxious. He’d try to meet Kanemaru during the entrance, but Kanemaru would catch him instead. We’d see SHO driven into the ring post, and take two chair shots to the leg. Back into the ring, Kanemaru went right for the Figure Four Leg Lock.

SHo would scream out in pain, before using the referee to break the hold – slinging Marty Asami at Kanemaru. He’d try to grab the wrench, but Kanemaru would stomp the hand and look to use it himself. Moonsault would follow, and Kanemaru got a two count. Touchout would follow, giving Kanemaru his fastest win of the tournament.

SHO is out of the tournament after this sub 3-minute loss, he’d get sprayed with whiskey, and the crowd couldn’t be happier. Kanemaru would grab the NEVER Openweight Six Man Championship SHO carried, indicating a potential title match.
