That is according to an aide of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Nile Gardiner.
Nile’s comments have to be read in light of the fact that Meghan had accused a member of the Royal family of making racist remarks against her son Archie’s skin colour.
And yet, Meghan’s comments did not seem to resonate with the British public as she was booed exiting the ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ at St Paul’s Cathedral, as she made a hasty retreat with Prince Harry back to the US before the conclusion of the event.
With that being said, Nile felt that her prior comments could no longer be held up to scrutiny in light of public opinion and the success of the Platinum Jubilee.
In his comments, he said: “Still waiting for Meghan Markle’s apology to the Royal Family and the British people for all her failed attacks on the Monarchy.”
But it was not just an apology that Nile felt needed to be given. He also went on the front foot to criticise the manner in which Meghan has been handling her ‘career.’
So much so that Nile suggested that she needed to take a new approach to things, rather than what we have seen currently which has been publicity generated by attacks against the Royal family.
After all, the Oprah Winfrey interview was followed up by deals with Netflix and Spotify. But as the latter have failed to make a ground-breaking impact, perhaps it is time to change things.
He added: “Judging by the massive success of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee her campaign hasn’t been a great success. She may want to think about a different career.”
