Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results.
Tonight’s going to be an interesting one with Vince McMahon expected to start the show as his Mr. McMahon character and it’s rumored he’ll address the ongoing investigation in character.
Even if he doesn’t it’ll boost the show’s ratings, and we’re set for plenty of interesting moments.
Let’s get to the action!
Vince McMahon welcomes everyone to Smackdown
As expected, Vince McMahon came out to mild cheers, boos, and indifference as he made his way to the ring.
He started off by saying it’s a privilege to stand in the ring in front of the WWE Universe. He cited the four words in the opening, Then, Now, Forever, and the most important word Together and welcomed the fans to Smackdown.

In short, he presented himself as a fan friendly face with everything going on.
Riddle praises Orton
It’s another “historic” Smackdown with a “fight night feel” and Riddle came out next and called up a video package of him and Orton’s attempt to unify the tag team titles.
Riddle said he knows Orton’s wondering if he’ll return, and then professed his love for Randy and said he doesn’t care what shape he’s in.
He praised Orton’s work for the last 20 years and thanked him. He dedicated his match against Reigns to Orton, and then called up Orton’s music.
Madcap Moss vs. Happy Corbin
This should be a good one as it culminates their feud.
Moss hit a shoulder block to start, but Corbin nailed him with a series of rights before he ran into a big knee.
Corbin’s nasty side came out as he started mauling Moss in the ropes, and locked in a submission. Moss fought free and hit another shoulder block after ducking a pair of clotheslines.

Corbin sent Moss into the ring post shoulder first, then clotheslined him over the barricade as we headed to commercial.
Corbin continued to dominate and caught Moss off the ropes with an End of Days for a near pinfall.
They traded shots on the floor with Corbin shoving him into the ring post and Moss throwing him into the announce desk.
Corbin barely made it back into the ring and Moss hit the Punch Line, and then a second one for the win.
After the match, Moss grabbed a mic and laughed at Corbin.
Corbin then got in Pat McAfee’s face for criticizing him and told McAfee to watch his mouth of he’ll make him wish he was dead.
McAfee got the fans to help laugh Corbin out of the arena.
New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods) vs. Jinder Mahal and Shanky
Woods and Mahal started it off, and after exchanging hits, Kofi came in and New Day hit a double bulldog for a pin attempt.

Kofi hit a dropkick, but Shanky responded with a pair of heavy clotheslines that rocked Kofi. He then threw Kofi across the ring.
Woods played his trombone and Shanky started dancing and Mahal tagged himself in.
Kofi hit a Trouble in Paradise on Mahal for the win while Mahal yelled at Shanky.
