Camille Vasquez has essentially become a household name after representing Johnny Depp in his defamation case against Amber Heard. Vasquez captured the attention and gained the respect of the public as she flawlessly scored a big win for Depp and helped him reclaim his reputation after Heard falsely accused him of domestic abuse.
Her direct and downright cutthroat approach to cross-examining Heard scored her big points with those following the trial. While many held out hope that Vasquez and Depp were dating during the trial, she insisted that there was no romantic involvement between them. But Joe Rogan thinks that there’s still a chance for Johnny Depp and Camille Vasquez to have a love connection and has insisted that ‘we all want’ them to become an item.

Rogan has openly admitted his attraction to Vasquez in the past, and he has since doubled down on his opinion of the powerhouse attorney being a real catch for someone like Depp. “Being hot and natural, and really smart. Really smart and not taking any bull s****. And, we all want her to fall in love with Johnny secretly, right?” before comedian Mark Normand chimed in by saying, “I think they’ve got a thing.”
While Vasquez has certainly developed a fondness for Depp, she already has a boyfriend and has made it clear that she’s no fan of the constant speculation about a potential romance with her client. She once referred to the rumors as “sexist,” “unfortunate and disappointing” before saying, “I guess it comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job”.
“It’s disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny—who is a friend and I’ve known and represented for four-and-a-half years now—that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional. That’s disappointing to hear.”
Fans theorized that Depp and Vasquez might have feelings for each other after she gave him an emotional hug during the trial, but she insisted that she offered the embrace because “he needed it”. Vasquez also added, “I care very deeply about my clients, and we have obviously become close. But when I say we, I mean the entire team, and of course that includes Johnny. And, I’m Cuban and Colombian. I’m tactile. What do you want me to say? I hug everyone. And I’m not ashamed about that.”
Camille Vasquez brushed aside buzz about her and Deep’s alleged love connection while the defamation trial was in progress, but she swiftly announced her relationship was purely professional after Depp was awarded $8.3 million in damages from his estranged ex-wife. Vasquez is currently dating England-based executive Edward Owen.
According to a source, “It’s quite a new relationship, but Edward is smitten with her. He has visited Camille in the US since this trial started, and she plans to visit him in the UK as soon as the case is over. It’s long-distance and they’re both high flyers in their respective careers, but they’re hoping to make it work.”
