A viral video claiming that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had signed divorce papers following Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee has been debunked.

The couple’s recent visit to the UK did receive a mixed response. While it was historic in the sense that it was the first time in 2 years that the couple had arrived in front of the British public, they were welcomed by a chorus of boos at the ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ held at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Thereafter, a video entitled ‘MEDIA SHOCK! Harry & Meghan Have Finally Signed The DIVORCE Papers’ started to circulate on social media. It claimed Harry had signed the divorce papers on the basis that he had felt ‘tightly controlled by Meghan.’
And yet, this claim has now been shut down by the fact-checking PolitiFact website. In response to the rumours, they said: “It does not provide any credible evidence that any of this is actually true.
“Claims that Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, divorced are baseless.” This naturally started to generate a lot of talking points on social media. And of particular focus was how the story could have originated in the first place.
With that being said, a certain subset of people were of the view that supporters of Prince William and Kate Middleton may have peddled this story.
Meanwhile, others felt this was done to distract people from the fact that the findings of Meghan’s bullying inquiry were not going to be published.
One person wrote: “If there is a couple who would sign any divorce papers, it ain’t Harry and Meghan, just saying. His family is just a nest of vipers.”
While another person stated: “William &Kate will get divorced, It’s just a matter of time.” As of now, there is nothing to suggest that Harry and Meghan are going to break up anytime soon.
