Fans have trolled Kate Middleton after she was pictured sitting in a tank, as part of Armed Forces Day.

Armed Forces Day is an annual event that is held in order to pay homage to the men and women who have decided to serve in the British Army.
And in order to show just how important they were to the country, Kate shared a series of images from last November that were released to mark the special day. In the pictures here, we can see that Kate has dressed up in an Army uniform as she gets to grips with the machines.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Last year, I was honoured to spend time with the @BritishArmy to see how they train serving personnel and new recruits.
“It was wonderful to see first-hand the many important and varied roles the military play day in, day out to protect us all, and I look forward to discovering more.”
Clearly, the armed forces have a special place in the Royal family. Prince William happened to have reportedly completed seven-and-a-half years of military service.
Not only that, but Prince Harry had served in the British Army amid the war in Afghanistan. Despite the clear admiration for the armed forces, the fans could not help but comment on Kate’s appearance.
A certain subset of people were of the view that Kate was trying too hard to come across as sincere. Meanwhile, others mocked how she had come across with the military uniform.
One person wrote: “Love Kate but getting flashbacks to Maggie Thatcher sitting in that tank ugh,” while another person stated: “Why is she smiling sitting in the war machine?”
In reality, the most important thing to remember is the sacrifice that the military personnel have to make to pursue this career. And that is not going to change anytime soon, given the volatile nature of the world that we currently live in.
