A royal insider claims that Kate Middleton has recently extended an olive branch to Prince Harry. Kate’s husband, Prince William, and Prince Harry have been involved in a long-term feud that intensified when the Duke of Sussex resigned as an active royal. However, the royal insider suggests that Kate is trying to resolve the issues between both brothers. The source claims the Duchess of Cambridge is “frantically trying to play peacemaker.”
Speaking in a chat with US Weekly, the insider said, “There’s a small glimpse of hope of saving the brothers from never speaking again: Kate.” The insider further suggested that the Duchess is fully aware of all that has transpired between the brothers and that William still feels the loss of Harry. Thus, on her part, she is “frantically trying to play peacemaker.”
Kate Middleton Reportedly Offers An Olive Branch To Prince Harry
The source went on, “[She] had a quiet word with the boys separately, even going as far as calling Harry in Montecito and suggesting that he reach out to William on his birthday.” The royal insider also added that the only challenge at the moment is that both Prince Harry and Prince William “are both overly stubborn, so there’s not much hope.”
For more than two years now, Prince Harry and Prince William have been at the centre of one of the most publicized feuds between two royals. However, a good number of Britons have blamed Harry for making matters worse. Some royal experts previously suggested that Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey made William more furious with his brother. Moreover, Harry’s comments on NBC Today’s show in April about protecting the Queen did not also go down well with William.
The two brothers were never spotted together throughout the platinum celebrations. They even sat several metres apart at the Platinum national service of thanksgiving service that held at St. Paul’s Cathedral on June 3rd, 2022. William and Harry were pictured together for the last time on July 1st 2021 at Princess Diana’s statue unveiling. Meanwhile, they are expected to meet when William visits the US for the Earthshot Prize Awards in October 2022.
