Prince William has been slammed over his royal image after a video showed him confronting a member of the paparazzi, while spending time with Kate Middleton and their children.
Prince William Slammed For Bringing Royal Image Down After Altercation With Paparazzi-‘The Indolent, Self-Centered Halfwit’
According to reports, William happened to have confronted a member of the paparazzi in Sandringham. During the course of that process, William was outraged by what he believed to be a breach of privacy.
It is claimed that this incident had occurred in January 2021 during which the photographer was apparently taking footage of William’s family on a bike ride.
That is when the Duke of Cambridge lost his temper and confronted the person with the following comments: “You were out here looking for us.”
But this was only just the start. Rather than trying to prevent things from getting out of control, it appears that William was not going to have any form of dialogue.
And he let the member of the paparazzi know in uncertain terms that his presence was not going to be tolerated. William’s comments added: “How dare you behave like you have done with our children? How dare you?
“Stalking around here looking for us and our children?” And the standoff was finally concluded when William decided to ride off on his bike, knowing that he had put the paparazzi member in his place.
Nevertheless, William’s conduct was heavily criticised on the following grounds. First of all, this behaviour had been seen as bringing down the image of someone belonging to the Royal family.
Secondly, the very fact of the matter is that the Royal family is funded by the taxpayer. Therefore, their critics argued that they were not entitled to receive privacy. And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media.
One person wrote: “We own them, they’re not entitled to privacy,” while another person stated: “If the indolent, self-centered halfwit doesn’t like it he can give up being “royal” and let us spend the taxpayers cash on something useful.”
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
