A big development in the case of an Ohio man who was shot and killed by his older brother. Michael Mueller (70) shot and killed himself in a hotel room after fleeing Ohio and kicking off a manhunt.

Mueller killed his younger brother, 66-year-old Mark Mueller on the morning of June 22, 2022. A medical alarm alerted the Deer Park police as well as the Deer Park Silverton Joint Fire District. When they arrived, they found Mark Mueller unresponsive with gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead on the scene.
The Deer Park PD would tell the public “This appears to be likely domestic/family related and there is no threat to the general public.” After getting permission from Mueller’s father, a search of Michael Mueller’s house turned up 52 loaded firearms.

After several days, the path ended in Lexington, Kentucky. A spokesman for the Deer Park Police said:
“Last night we were made aware that Lexington Kentucky Police had spotted the vehicle linked to homicide suspect Michael Mueller at a local hotel. Attempts to negotiate with Mueller were made by Lexington SWAT. Eventually the room was entered, and Mueller was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
It would stated that the information surrounding Mueller was withheld until Mueller’s father could be told of it. “Ensuring the elder Mueller receives the care he needs after this loss is now law enforcement’s priority concern,” the police added.
