Enough is enough, and Guun Club are ready to stop being called ‘The Ass Boys’. This was started by Danhausen, and they’ve called him out tonight for a trios match. With Max Caster by their side, Austin & Colton Gunn will face Danhausen and his choices of tag team partners. The Gunn Club looked to be all business tonight, and they’d remain serious even when faced with Ass Boy chants.
TNT Championship Match Named, FTR & Danhausen Get A Big Win
Before this match could begin, we’d hear from TNT Champion Scorpio Sky & Wardlow. Sky says that things will go the same as last time. Wardlow is meanwhile sick of talk, and would just accept the offer for a Street Fight for the TNT Championship. That match will happen next week on AEW Dynamite.
Danhausen would be backed up by none other than FTR, who he claimed are ‘pretty good at wrestling’. They’re ROH, AAA, & IWGP Tag Team Champions, and #1 ranked in the AEW Tag Team division. Pretty good at wrestling indeed.
Wheeler would kick things off with Austin, and was able to run him down with a shoulder tackle. Backdrop and Manhattan Drop would follow, before a punch to the ass and an armdrag. Harwood would tag in and hit some heavy handed chops, before allowing Danhausen in for an elbow drop after a double drop toehold.
Danhausen hit a diving hurricanrana before some hip tosses. Colton would hit a big lariat, before Caster would tag in to the match. Cobra Clutch would be applied, before Gunn Club would hit some tag team offence. Danhausen was firmly isolated in the wrong part of the ring, but a Northern Lights Suplex would get himself free briefly.
He’d make the tag and Harwood would uncork a flurry of right hands. FTR hit a series of German Suplexes, with Harwood hitting six on Austin. Danhausen would hit the pump kick, before calling for Go To Sleep Hausen.
Bowens would hit the ring with the crutch, but laid out Austin. Danhausen grabbed the pin for the win! After the match, there would be a falling out between Gunn Club & The Acclaimed – and Billy Gunn took the side of The Acclaimed, over his own sons!
And Still TBS Champion…
At 33-0, it’s becoming damn near impossible to deny the dominance of Jade Cargill in AEW. Her manager Stokely Hathaway would demand that Tony Khan add a match for her tonights card. Enter Leila Grey, a journeyman wrestler who has been putting in work on AEW Dark. Grey has a chance to pull off the biggest upset victory in the history of AEW, as the TBS Championship is one the line here tonight.
Cargill would kick things off quick with a body slam, before a pump kick to the face. Grey blocked the elbow in the corner, before running into a Fallaway Slam. Pump Kick would all but knock Grey out and Jaded was just a formality before the pinfall. 34-0, and no signs of stopping.
After the bell, Stokely would call out Athena & Kris Statlander for not stepping up for this challenge. He said they’re not overlooked, just lazy. Athena & Statlander hit the ring, but Grey would help ensure Athena doesn’t hit The O-Face. The ring was cleared, and Grey might be the newest baddie.
