Joe Rogan has the biggest podcast platform in the world. When he states something, the world will hear about it. It is no secret that he is a very good friend and a loyal supporter of Elon Musk. So this time, he decides to follow Musk’s lead and support the Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for president. The podcaster even has some embracing comments about the governor’s work until now.
In a recent episode of his podcast, he had the actress Gina Carano as his guest. Amongst other things, they brought up the topic of who they think would make a good president of the United States. Without much thinking, Joe Rogan mentions Ron DeSantis‘s name. According to the podcaster, the governor is not perfect per se but did a lot for Florida through his time in office.
Joe Rogan Follows Elon Musk’s Lead And Supports Ron DeSantis For President – Calls Joe Biden A ‘Dead Man’ In Office
“What he’s done for Florida has been admirable.” – Rogan says. On the contrary, he has a totally different opinion of the current president Joe Biden. He calls him a ‘dead man’ in office and totally counters his views and opinions.
“Dude looks like a walking dead man. He looked like s*it before he became president, but he’s way worse now. He’s mumbling, he can’t get through sentences, they keep walking back what he’s saying.” – Joe Rogan says at an episode of his podcast. “You ever see those compilations where Biden is saying those non-words. It’s wild. He’s challenged.” – the podcaster adds.
Joe Rogan’s comments on the topic, mentioning DeSantis, will fuel the speculations initiated by Elon Musk. Now the public will take it as no surprise if they see DeSantis running for president in 2024.
However, in previous comments about this, Ron DeSantis is denying any plans of running for president. He says that he is focusing on the following re-elections in 2022 for governor in Florida.
To fuel DeSantis’s will to run for president, earlier in June, he beat the former president Donald Trump in a poll of who would Republicans want to see running for office in 2024.
DeSantis is making strong statements about his plans of running for governor only. He says that these Presidential Election rumors are only spreading to detract attention from the loss that the Democrats will undergo in Florida in 2022. What caught Joe Rogan’s attention at Ron DeSantis is his stance and approach to the Covid 19 pandemic.
“Rather than giving Americans the option for various COVID treatments, the FDA and the Biden Administration issued their royal decree, taking away the very thing that is proven to reduce hospitalizations and save lives.” – the Governor says. “Monoclonal antibody treatments like Regeneron have had a positive impact for thousands of Floridians. For the CDC and FDA, which have been consistently inconsistent throughout the entire pandemic, to restrict treatment does nothing but put individuals at risk.”
Ron DeSantis took the Covid pandemic as he should. He made a strong claim that he will not force anyone to vaccinate. Furthermore, he will not force children to wear masks and will strongly judge vaccination requirements as a condition for employment.
“I feel like what he did for Florida, a lot of people gave him a lot of grief, but ultimately he was correct.” – Rogan says. “He was correct when it comes to deaths, he was correct. And when it comes to protecting all vulnerable populations, he was correct in terms of distribution of monoclonal antibodies.”
DeSantis attracted national attention when he publicly supported and urged people infected with the virus to take monoclonal antibodies. This was because at the same time the federal officials were making strong statements that the antibodies are not effective against the omicron variant. DeSantis’s response to this is that the patients, nor the doctors are sure of which variant they have, so why not take the chance to recover faster and take antibodies.
It’s not the first time that Joe Rogan takes side with the Republicans. It’s not the first time that he has had liberal positions on many problematics as well. His views on abortion and drug legalization for example. What made him a controversial personality is his view on the Covid 19 vaccination requirements. He purposely features controversial people on the podcast, sharing his opinion, and uses the podcast as a tool to spread ‘misinformation’ about the virus.
“There was some weird gas-lighting shit that went on,” he said, “where people equated freedom and saying the word freedom to like right-wing bigotry and hate is so strange.” – Rogan says.
Rogan has been accused of using the N-Word in the recent past. There is a video compilation of him saying the word over and over. This creates a great division of opinions amongst the people. Many jump in his defense stating that the connotation in which he uses the word is not racist. Many judge him as well.
Ron DeSantis is amongst the people that jump in Rogan’s defense as well. In February, he says that Joe Rogan shouldn’t ‘kow to the mob’ and shouldn’t apologize for anything.
“No, he shouldn’t have apologized. I mean, you see what happens? The mob will come after people, and they’re targeting Rogan because he’s threatening to upset the apple cart on some of the things that they’re holding dear.” – DeSantis says. “I think a lot of the legacy outlets, and I think the left, fear the fact that he can reach so many people, and so they’re out to destroy him. But what I would say is don’t give an inch. Do not apologize. Do not kow to the mob. Stand up and tell them to pound sand.”
“If you do that, there’s really nothing that they’re able to do to you. The only way they have power is if you let them get your goat.” – DeSantis adds and finishes the speech. What do you think? Would Ron DeSantis make a good president?
