Meghan Markle is taking all the appropriate steps that are needed if she wants to pursue a career in politics as US President.

That is according to Royal expert Russell Myers. Since leaving the Royal family in 2020, the Duchess of Sussex has shown that she is willing to comment on political matters.
We have seen her touch on the Russia-Ukraine crisis, the Covid-19 vaccination programme, the overruling of Roe v Wade and many other matters.
In addition, she has taken proactive measures such as setting up her 40×40 campaign. This was a mentoring scheme set up to allow mothers who had struggled during the pandemic with support in trying to re-enter the workplace.
And that will only aid her ability to secure a position in politics. In his comments, Russell said: “Now Meghan has said, you know, that [she] might be in Washington very soon.
“So does she have political ambitions? I do think she does. And she’s certainly rubbing shoulders with the right people and making the right noises.”
If Meghan does end up pursuing a career in that regard, then there are some implications to consider. First of all, the United States is a Constitutional Republic.
Therefore, her title ‘Duchess of Sussex’ could potentially not be in harmony with the constitution should she be elected to a position of office. Secondly, there is the obvious question mark of how would Prince Harry respond to this.
After all, it would make it much more difficult for him to be in the public eye knowing that his wife was in politics. And yet, Russell has not ruled out the possibility of Meghan doing this.
His following comments confirmed as much: “So, you know, sometimes it might not seem so ludicrous that she might stand for office because she’s certainly making the right noises.”
