Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still not trusted by Prince William and Kate Middleton.
William And Kate Don’t Trust Harry And Meghan Over Fears Any Conversations ‘Could End Up Being Leaked To The Media’
That is according to Royal expert Katie Nicholl. This claim stems from the controversial Oprah Winfrey interview the couple had given following their exit from the Royal family in 2020.
During the course of that process, Meghan dropped several bombshells including claims that Kate had made her cry in the run-up to her wedding.
Not only that, but the couple had also suggested that someone within the Royal family had expressed reservations about the skin colour of their son Archie.
And given Kate and William were distant from the couple upon their return to the UK for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, it appears that they do not trust them anymore.
In her comments, Katie said: “I think that does signal not just a busy timetable on the part of the Cambridges but perhaps also a bit of a lack of trust. “
“I do know that William and Kate are worried that anything they might say or do with the fact that it could end up being leaked to the media.”
Nevertheless, these comments have to be taken with a pinch of salt. First of all, reports also surfaced that William had allowed people within his circle to spread gossip about Harry and Meghan. In this way, Harry and Meghan may have a right to feel cautious too.
Second of all, even if William and Kate do have reservations about trust, it does not sit very well when Meghan has equally expressed dissatisfaction at Buckingham Palace’s failure to publish findings of its inquiry into allegations of her bullying.
With both sides feeling aggrieved, unless things can be hashed out behind the scenes, then there is always a danger that another explosive Oprah interview could emerge.
And as Harry and Meghan were recently pictured pulling up at Oprah’s house, incidents like that are not going to make things any more comfortable for the Royals.
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
