Hangman Page is someone who is never scared to step up for a fight, especially when someone attacks their friends. Alex Reynolds was taken out by Butcher & The Blade – after John Silver said as ‘The Meat Man’, Butcher is his favorite wrestler. They even presented him with a shirt that said BUTCH, but this favour was rejected. Tonight, Silver & Page team up to take on the top ranked tag team.
Hangman Page & John Silver Claim Victory
Silver would start this match in brash fashion, rushing down the tag team and suffering for it. He’d be isolated quickly, and take the heavy strikes of both Butcher & Blade. Silver would weather the storm and make the tag to the former AEW World Champion.
Page would hit the ring to a massive reaction, cutting The Butcher off the apron before a dive onto Blade who was outside of the ring. Back in the ring, flying lariat would get the two colint. Butcher would yank Page to the floor, and whip him between the ring and barricade – before keeping the pressure on in the ring.
Page would throw some elbow strikes, before Blade would gouge at the eyes. Silver would get the tag, and would hit the ring for some big running uppercuts. A suplex would follow on Blade, before Butcher made the save during a pinfall attempt.
Gutbuster & Doctor Bomb from Blade would follow, who was busted open from the strikes of Silver. Butcher would look to end this with Full Death, before Silver slipped free and completed the tag. Page would throw lariats at Butcher, both men standing tall and asking for more.
Rolling lariat would see Page take Butcher down, and Page went right to the apron. Buckshot was set, and Blade would try and stop this, but Page flipped over him. German Suplex from Silver, and Buckshot Lariat from Page – and we have our winners!
Claudio Castagnoli Is Ready To Be The ROH World Champion
Tomorrow night at ROH Death Before Dishonor – Claudio Castagnoli has a big chance. He’s had an incredible career, but has never been able to call himself a world champion. That could all change as he takes on reigning ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham, and the odds are in the favour of the bigger and stronger Castagnoli. Tonight on AEW Rampage, he’s got a chance to speak.
That world championship is the one thing that has alluded him his entire career – and he knows this. Castagnoli doesn’t measure his career in belts won, or call himself the best because of that. He calls himself the best because he’s got the support of the fans.
Jonathan Gresham calls himself The Foundation, but that’s about to crack. Gresham made the mistake of tugging on supermans cape – and pissing off the man who beats him in every category.
