’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal that star, Thaís Ramone revealed to fans what job her partner, Patrick Mendes does for a living after his weightlifting career ended. Patrick started Olympic weightlifting back in 2008 when he was recruited by his high school coach, John Broz. He spent most of his time training in a small 500 square foot gym.
Patrick achieved the junior world record of lifting 207 kgs two years later. Patrick didn’t let his torn labrum injury stop him from chasing his dreams. The 90 Day Fiancé star won two national championships in 2011 and 2012. He was trying to qualify for the Olympics when he tested positive for the banned Human Growth Hormone drug. This led to his set back and he was banned for two years.

When Patrick returned, he tested positive for dimethyl testosterone, finally ending his weightlifting career and his marriage with his ex-wife. During the show, Patrick revealed that after the end of his career, he moved to Texas and started working in sales, selling home security door to door and managing sales teams throughout the area. He said that his brother, John works alongside him at the company. He sells the alarms, while his brother John installs them.
Fans were convinced that the 90 Day Fiancé star works in MLM, or multi-level marketing, also known as a pyramid scheme. Someone recently asked Thais on Instagram that, “What does Patrick do for work? Mml [sic]” and she responded, saying, “I don’t know what MML is!” without correcting the fan. She then went on to share what she thinks he partner does at his job in America.
Thais said that Patrick is very honest in his work, and he has been “working hard for years.” She continued to say that when she met him, he had only five people on his team, but in the last two years, she has watched his team grow, and she’s also seen Patrick “grow more and more and more.” She also said Patrick is always working, and never stopped even when he was in Brazil. “Always holding meetings, worrying about people, giving support,” she added.
“So anything different you read is a lie and probably someone very envious who never got what he got.” Thais also said that these envious people will never be as successful as her man because “when you envy people your whole life is unlucky.” On his LinkedIn, Patrick claims to have employed as a general manager at Vivint Smart Home since April 2013.
