Despite not being in a position to make the finals, this G1 has been a smash success for JONAH. He’s yet to be pinned, with his two losses coming in count outs – and he got a pinfall victory over Kazuchika Okada. Tonight, he’s got a chance to finish his tournament strong by taking down Bad Luck Fale – a man who can claim a flawless G1 tournament, after in 2018 he had constant DQs instead of being pinned or submitted. This one could become a nasty fight with ease, depending on what mood these two big men are in.

JONAH & Bad Luck Fale Is More A Kaiju Battle Than A Wrestling Match

These two powerhouses would start things off with some harsh blows, with JONAH sending Fale out to the floor. JONAH would come off the apron with a shoulder tackle, before driving Fale into the corner post. Fale would strike back, and we’d almost get a double count out. A thrust kick would corner Fale, for a series of running splashes.

Fale would block the third, nailing the big spear out of the corner to catch his breath. Snap DDT would follow from JONAH, getting a two count. Black Forest Bomb was attempted, but JONAH could not get Fale up. Grenade would be blocked, and Fale was dropped with a lariat. Torpedo Splash would follow, and JONAH again proves he’s the top monster of NJPW.

Lance Archer Intends To End Okada Early

When the participants for the G1 Climax 32 were announced, the crowd made a lot of noise at the announcement of Lance Archer returning to Japan. Since then, The Murderhawk Monster has been waving the flags of AEW & Suzuki-gun with pride, and could make his way into the semi-finals to face Tama Tonga. Standing in his way is Kazuchika Okada, with tonight being a winner takes all match. In the rare event of a time limit draw, Okada would be able to win out – meaning the clock is not on Archer’s side here tonight.

Archer would stand tall in the center of the ring, still with his entrance gear on. He was focused tonight, and would go right into a chokeslam on Okada – before the Hellovator. Okada was already on the defensive, and his strikes were met by a massive pounce which sent him from the ring. Archer would see Okada resting by the barricade, before hitting the cannonball senton – and dropping a young lion on him with a bodyslam for good measure.

Back in the ring, Archer would walk the top rope for the Old School moonsault. Blackout would be set, but Okada would slip free and hit a desperate Rainmaker. Dropkick would follow, before Okada hit the bodyslam. Archer would get back to his feet, and hit the dropkick into the Rainmaker, nearly taking Okada’s head off – but only getting a two count.

    Kazuchika Okada Overcomes The Odds

Okada would be hit with Blackout, but a lazy pinfall saw Archer nearly caught with the roll up. Archer would keep the punishment coming after kicking out, setting up another Blackout. Okada would wiggle free and hit the chop block, before applying the Money Clip.

Archer would nail the lariat after breaking free, before Okada would manage to hit the Landslide and Rainmaker for the victory. He wins the A-Block, and will face Tama Tonga in tomorrows main event – with a spot in the finals.

Our two semi-final matches are Okada vs. Tama, and Tetsuya Naito vs. Will Ospreay! Who will make up the finals of this tournament? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
