Prince Harry’s friend and polo player Nacho Figueras has defended Meghan Markle over her ‘Archetypes’ podcast.
Prince Harry’s Friend Nacho Figueras Slams Meghan’s Podcast Haters-‘She Really Wants To Empower Women, Cares About Making The World A Better Place’
The podcast certainly divided the royal fan base with some believing that this was an attempt by the Duchess of Sussex to hit back at her critics.
This claim was centred around the notion of Meghan being viewed in a negative manner due to her ambition, something which was clearly an attempt to counter Tom Bower’s suggestion that Markle was a ‘scheming’ woman.
Despite having alienated a certain subset of people, Meghan’s podcast did appear number one on Spotify, beating Joe Rogan in the process.
With that being said, Nacho had nothing but warm words to say about Meghan as he wanted to highlight her sincere intentions. In his comments, he said: “I think that she means well.
“She really wants to empower women and attack certain subjects that I think are important. [She] cares about making the world a better place.”

Nevertheless, those comments have to be taken with a pinch of salt for the following reasons. First of all, since Nacho is a close friend of the couple, he is hardly going to bash the podcast publicly.
Secondly, the feeling amongst royal experts is that the podcast as a whole was a disaster. Royal commentator Angela Levin was very vocal about how Meghan was playing up the idea of being a victim.
In her comments at the time, Angela remarked: “Meghan’s first podcast is out. She and Serena Williams giggle away with lots of ‘oh my gosh’.
“Meghan encourages her to complain about how a woman is held back and how they are victims. You couldn’t make it up.”
One thing we have learnt is that Meghan’s podcast is generating a lot of publicity, but whether that is positive going forward remains to be seen.
Time will tell how this all plays out. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
