For weeks now, Joe Gacy & The Dyad have been making moves to recruit Cameron Grimes to join Scism. This comes at a time when Grimes is taking major loss after major loss, and is really at rock bottom in terms of his WWE career. Tonight, Gacy gives Grimes another chance to join them – and find his real potential in WWE, just like the Grizzled Young Veterans have.
Cameron Grimes Once Again Turns Down Offer Of Joe Gacy
Schism was already in the ring, with Gacy saying that great things happen when Worlds Collide – but better things happen when worlds come together. Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid were able to get a massive victory over Legado Del Fantasma recently, and Gacy wanted to honor them. He’d give them pins in recognition of their efforts, and they had a chance to thank Gacy for helping them become whole once again.
Gacy would ask for Cameron Grimes to walk in their footsteps, and as if on cue – Grimes would hit the ring. Grimes said he didn’t come out here to join this celebration, but to talk to Gacy. He was sick of being stalked by Gacy and hounded to join Scism, and Grimes decided that, well? He doesn’t need them. Grimes doesn’t need anyone to go ‘To The Moon’, but Gacy feels that Grimes is just lying to himself.
Grimes is one of the toughest men in NXT, but he wears a mask to hide his insecurities. He claims that Grimes’ loneliness is killing him. However, while Grimes did have some failures – he got himself into those matches without help. Grimes would try to leave before Gacy would bring up the dead father of Grimes – and things turned to blows, only for Gacy to offer a hug.
Pretty Deadly Claim A Big Victory
Pretty Deadly have been doing everything they can think of to get into the heads of the current NXT UK Tag Team Champions, Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs. Now, with the impending shutdown of NXT UK as a brand – they are keen on ensuring those belts end their legacy around the waists of someone besides some drunken American rednecks. Tonight, with Lash Legend in their corner – they will meet Jensen, Briggs & Fallon Henley in mixed trios action.
Legend would start up with Henley, hitting a back body drop before being sent to the floor and hit with a crossbody. Kit Wilson and Josh Briggs would hit the ring – with Briggs winning out with some heavy strikes. Elton Prince tried to get things back under control, but took a big double back body drop. With all three opponents on the floor, Henley would be thrown onto the pile – toppling them all as we hit a commercial break.
Back from the break, Prince would look to break Briggs down in the middle of the ring, and some smart striking would gain control. Wilson would look to keep this match under control, and Pretty Deadly would show their tag team chemistry. Quick strikes and quick tags would keep things under control, before Wilson applied a tight sleeper hold.
Briggs broke free, before Prince hit the elbow smash to the neck and shut down the tag attempt. Gallus came to ringside and this one turned into a brawl. In the ring, Wilson would pin Brooks Jensen – and left with the win.
