Earlier tonight, Joe Gacy & The Dyad would invade the locker room of Diamond Mine. Not a group to let their turf be stepped on, Diamond Mine would call for a six man tag team match. Now, Roderick Strong teams with the NXT Tag Team Champions The Creed Brothers, as Dyad & Gacy team for the first time.
Diamond Mine Take Joe Gacy & The Dyad Into A Deep Fight
Strong would kick things off with Gacy, and would be dropped with a shoulder tackle. Gacy would get taken down to the mat, before a chokehold was applied. Dyad #1 would tag in, and would wiggle free of a backbreaker before Brutus got the tag. Some elbow smashes from Dyad #1 would be met with a gutwrench suplex, before Julius got the tag for some knee smashes.
Gacy reminded Dyad #1 that pain is temporary, and to get back into the ring. Some lariats would follow, before a choke on the mat. Dyad #2 would get the tag, and hit some crossface blows – before an elbow mash. Gacy would tag in and hit some punches, before tagging out. Dyad #1 or 2 would go for a scoop slam, and was blocked into a roll up for a two count.
Diamond Mine would maintain control through the commercial break, working on one of the Dyad’s with quick tags and hard strikes. Brutus was driven into the wrong corner, with Gacy getting the tag and applying an armbar. Quick DDT would follow as Brutus fought free, before a chop to the throat.
Dyad would get the tag, as everyone lost track of #1 & 2. They’d tag Gacy in to try and intimidate Brutus, before a uranage. Near fall would follow, before Dyad would get taken down. Brutus was getting desperate for the tag, as the beatdown kept coming. Julius would get the tag and hit a flurry of suplexes, flaunting his insane power.
Strong would tag in at the worst possible moment, and would be planted with the elevated DDT for the victory. Backstage it’d be confirmed that Grayson Waller will face Carmelo Hayes next week – Waller having snuck a contract into other items for Hayes to sign.
Xyon Quinn Realises A Sneak Attack Won’t Work
Sanga has become something of a gentle giant backstage in WWE NXT 2.0, but his patience only goes so far. Xyon Quinn has had issues with Wes Lee as of late, and along the way would insult Sanga. Now tonight, Quinn has to face someone bigger than him for once, as he goes one on one with Sanga.
Quinn would try and attack Sanga from behind on the way to the ring, but would be unable to get the advantage. Sanga was simply too big to jump. Diamond Mine would get some backstage time, as Damon Kemp & Roderick Strong will challenge The Creed Brothers for the tag titles next week.
Back to the ring, this match would finally start – and Quinn would hit some headbutts before a running knee strike. Sanga would hit the running shoulder tackle, before hitting an elbow to the neck. A lariat sent Quinn out to the floor, but he’d quickly slip back in. Sanga nailed snake eyes, before missing the elbow drop. Quinn hit a rushing shoulder tackle, but only got a one count. Sleeper hold was applied, but Sanga broke free. Chokeslam would land and Sanga claimed the win.
