Andre Chase has become one of the fan favorite names in NXT 2.0, with the Chase U section now basically taking over the entire arena. Tonight, Chase is in action – taking on the guest teacher from last week. The son of the legendary William Regal, Charlie Dempsey is making his NXT 2.0 debut – and is likely to show some pure mat dominance.
Andre Chase Shows Charlie Dempsey Has A Lot To Learn
Dempsey would kick off with some grappling, taking Chase right down to the mat. He’d apply a head scissor hold, but Chase was able to counter and apply the hold himself. Dempsey would break free, before taking a Monkey Flip. Chase would prove he can match the technical skills of the NXT UK standout, showing a double bridge.
Chase would hit the hip toss, and called for a teachable moment. Dempsey would rush in – and got his wrist snatched. An elbow strike would get him free, before some heavy uppercuts would shut Chase down. Dempsey would apply a variant of Cattle Mutilation, but Chase would be able to fight free and to his feet.
Bodhi Hayward & Thea Hail would hype Chase up, and some jabs and a Manhattan Drop would be followed with a smooth Russian Leg Sweep. The Chase U stomps had the arena on fire, before a Side Effect was met by a tight Fujiwara Armbar.
Dempsey would flow into the knee bar, and into the crossface STF – but when Chase reached for the ropes, Hayward would get kicked in the face and suplexed by Chase. Back in the ring, Chase would steal the win with a cradle pin – and Dempsey would be likely keen for a rematch.
Zoey Stark Bounces Back From Series Of Recent Losses
Unlike Zoey Stark, Kiana James is someone who knows how to get things done. Stark lost her chance to become the NXT Women’s Champion, and was unable to make her main roster debut due to getting hurt. James promises to beat Stark so hard tonight, that she will no longer be in consideration for title shots.
James would duck the lock up attempt from Stark, before being shoved to the ropes. Stark would hit the back elbow smashes in the corner corner, before being sent to the apron. She’d sweep the leg of James, before a slingshot senton for a two count. James would try to force a pinfall, before whipping the arm of Stark into the mat.
Stark would hit a potential knockout blow with a kick to the face. James would survive, before taking a knee to the face – ending this match just like that. Will Zoey Stark get another shot at the NXT Women’s Championship soon? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
