Meghan Markle’s father has had enough of the silence. He decided to speak out and address Meghan Markle’s claims that she had ‘lost him’. While at it, he accused the Duchess of Sussex of sacrificing people she once knew and cared about just to benefit herself.
Thomas Markle decided to come out and reflect on the matter only after his daughter, Meghan, essentially said that she doesn’t want Prince Harry to ‘lose’ his father, the same way she lost hers.

The statement is backed up by Meghan Markle’s spokesman Omid Scobie, who took to social media to explain the situation. “I understand that Prince Harry is actually referring to Meghan’s loss of her own father, and Meghan is saying she doesn’t want Harry to lose his.” – he explained.
Thomas Markle is currently recovering from a blood clot on his brain. He suffered a stroke earlier this year and does everything in his power to stay with as less stress as possible.
“I am still very ill and trying to recover from the stroke in May. Yet every time she opens her mouth she brings me into the story. It never ends.” – Thomas said for the Daily Mail.
“She didn’t ‘lose’ me, she dumped me.” – Thomas says as an answer to Meghan’s claims. “I am not lost. She knows where to find me. My number hasn’t changed. I would love to hear from my daughter and meet my son-in-law and my grandkids for the first time.”
Back in 2018, Thomas Markle staged some ‘paparazzi’ photos where he is browsing the internet for stories on his daughter, and reading the ‘Images of Britain’ in Starbucks, which he sold for over $100 000. Now he seems to be in court with the photographer Jeff Rayner for some alleged ‘breach of contract’. Essentially, this is the spark that lit the fire of disagreement between him and his daughter. Since then he has publicly stated that the photos only caused him a ‘worldwide embarrassment’ and destroyed his relationship with his daughter.
In addition to all this, Thomas Markle claims that his current health situation is a product of the stress he suffered after the fake paparazzi photos story emerged. Due to the massive stress, he suffered two consecutive heart attacks. As a result, doctors refused to let him fly to the UK for his daughter’s wedding.
Reports state that he hasn’t spoken to Meghan, nor Prince Harry since then. However, he does seek forgiveness from them.
In a recent interview, Meghan speaks exactly about forgiveness. The host asked her if she thinks there is ‘room for forgiveness between her and her family’ and she replied brilliantly.
“I think forgiveness is really important. It takes a lot more energy to not forgive. But it takes a lot of effort to forgive.” – Megahn said and kind of ‘asked; for a counter reply from her father.
“If she really believes in forgiveness, then why can’t she forgive me?” – Thomas Markle says for the MoS. “I have apologized to her multiple times for any hurt and pain I might have caused her. I love my daughter. She talks about forgiveness, so why not start with her own family? What about forgiving me? Every time she gives another interview it brings up all the pain and causes so much stress. I am still very sick. I am going to speech therapy and doing the best I can to get better, but it is all very upsetting.”
Thomas Markle continued and expressed his compassion for the Queen, accusing his daughter of ‘throwing the Royal family under the bus’.
“The Queen is a 96-year-old lady who has given her life to her people and she doesn’t deserve this when she is also in poor health. I do feel sorry for her and wish her all the best and hope she feels better soon. It can’t be easy for her to read all these things my daughter is saying. Meghan constantly throws the Royal family under the bus. The Meghan I knew was sweet, kind, and compassionate. I don’t know where that girl went. I have to hope that she is still in there somewhere and that she will make peace with our family, and Harry’s before it is too late.”
At the moment Thomas Markle claims that his daughter doesn’t contact him at all. She isn’t helping him in any way with none of the problems surrounding his ‘old day’s life’. His son, Tom Junior Markle is the only one that helps him pass the everyday struggles. Tom Junior even moved to Oregon with one purpose only. He wants to be closer to his father and help him overcome struggles with temporary paralysis and long-term speech issues. At the moment, Thomas Markle is only able to speak in short sentences. Sometimes even this presents a challenge for him as he finds it very difficult to find words.
He says that he is very sorry that the situation is the way it is. He claims that he didn’t hear from Meghan even during his treatment in the California Hospital. Meghan and Harry visited the hospital at the same period to attend a memoir about Uvalde School shooting in Texas. While there, Thomas claims that they did not make any attempt to contact him.
Thomas claims that he did manage to catch a glimpse of his daughter and son-in-law while lying in the hospital bed during their visit to the hospital. And that is the last time he had seen them.
