The Duchess of Sussex has not helped her cause with a series of controversial statements that have been challenged. She had initially claimed that a South African cast member of ‘The Lion King’ had told her how delighted they were when she married into the Royal Family.
So much so that it was compared to the jubilations that emerged when Nelson Mandela was freed from prison. However, the only cast member that fitted that description came out to state that he had never met Meghan.
In addition, her comments that she would not have been able to do the school run in the UK due to the presence of paparazzi was also called out.
This was on the grounds that there are clear rules in place on the photographing of children, which would have prevented such a thing. And as this resulted in other journalists siding against Morgan, Piers felt he was vindicated.
In a post to his fans on Twitter, Piers shared the views of journalist Jacqueline Maley who stated the following: “With sadness, many of us have moved to the same side of the dispute as Piers Morgan.Never a comfortable position to find oneself in.”
The Sussexes can expect further negativity during their UK trip at the ‘One Young World Summit’ and the ‘Well Child Awards.’
This is on the grounds that during the Platinum Jubilee the chorus of boos were clearly visible when they exited the ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ at St. Paul’s Cathedral. And their outspoken nature in the aftermath of that has only exacerbated things.
The fans on social media resonated with Piers’ position. And in the process of doing so, the comments towards the couple were brutal.
One person wrote: “Of course Piers Morgan was right all along – despite a weatherman’s sycophantic outburst to the contrary. Meghan Markle is delusional, and Prince Harry is as thick as two short Plantagenets.”
