After he initially came to the WWE from Impact Wrestling, Karrion Kross was built into an unbeatable monster by Triple H in NXT over a year and the future for him looked bright. But then Kross was brought up to the main roster and things went wonky.
For one reason or another, Vince McMahon seemed to have lost his ability to see what makes a wrestler and their character great as NXT callups often struggled.
Triple H was “Dismayed” Over Handling of Karrion Kross in 2021
Kross lost his first match in a couple of minutes to Jeff Hardy and Jeff used the ropes for added leverage.
It made no sense and made Kross seem like a weak jobber despite the reported plan to have him be such a threat Jeff would do something out of character like using the ropes.
And then the losses continued as it was rumored not having Scarlett at his side was why he was losing. Eventually, he was released with some other talent that never seemed to get a fair shake under Vince’s controlling hand.

Dismayed and the return
Things change over time, and with Vince retiring Triple H took over as the head of WWE Creative and there’s been reports that things have changed for the better backstage.
While Triple H has worked to change the culture, he’s also brought back stars that left or were released by Vince and once of the was Karrion Kross and Scarlett.
Fightful Select reported the Triple H felt dismayed over how Kross was being used on the main roster, and that makes sense after he built him up into a monster.
But now that Triple H is running creative and Kross is back, it’s been a fun return for him.
His return came as a surprise when he attacked Drew McIntyre from behind, and then Scarlett let a hourglass on the ring to signify Roman Reigns’ time was coming to a close.
In five minutes, Triple H fixed what Vince had broken and Kross became a legitimate threat to McIntyre and Reigns.
Things look bright for Kross now as he’s back in the WWE and being used correctly and it’s given the company another heel right behind Reigns, and he’s going to prove to be a thorn in the side for McIntyre for the foreseeable future.
It’s one of the numerous changes Triple H has made that’s helped improve he WWE and the consistent storylines and booking has gotten us interested in the characters again.
