Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre were first known in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2. After a recent breakup, Ariela decided to travel the world, eventually ending up in Ethiopia, where she met Biniyam. After only three months of dating, they discovered they were expecting their son, Aviel.

In an attempt to keep their family together, the New Jersey native decided to stay in Ethiopia until Avi’s medical procedure required her to return to the United States, which was a significant source of conflict for the couple. Amidst cheating allegations and Biniyam’s lack of communication, while Ariela was in the USA, the couple was able to work on their relationship and obtain a K-1 visa.
The couple returned to 90 Day Fiancé as season 9 cast members, where they finally got married. During the explosive season 9 Tell-All, fans found that Ariela and Avi had left the country for three months, and during that time, she blocked Biniyam, claiming, “I don’t think he even noticed, honestly.”
Interestingly, Jibri Bell, another 90-Day Fiancé cast member, accused Ariela of not supporting Biniyam’s dreams, being too controlling, and failing to make it as a couple. And Biniyam supported Bell’s claim when he said, “Avi, if he’s not born, me and Ariela maybe we not together. Me and her we have bad communication. We don’t listen to each other. Every time we fighting.”
Notwithstanding Biniyam’s claims, the couple appears to be in good spirits, as evidenced by Ariela’s recent Instagram post. Ariela, Biniyam, and Avi were photographed posing poolside with big smiles and a photo of the couple kissing. Her extensive caption addressed the countless comments she has received about her and her partner supposedly staying together for the sake of their son.
“To say we are together just for our son is not accurate.” She mentioned. “Neither of us feel that if we were to part ways that we would lose Avi. We would never do that to Avi or each other.” When viewers last saw the duo, they saw an unhappy couple. But her recent Instagram post assured 90 Day Fiancé fans that she does not believe in staying in an unhappy marriage.
Instead of faking a perfect relationship, Ariela’s post discussed their issues head-on. “We fight. We argue. We disagree. I bet all of you do too. But we also love each other wholeheartedly…we also know the very intimate and beautiful things that made us fall in love, to begin with.” Ariela commented. Throughout the post, Ariela expresses her appreciation for Biniyam and their progress as a couple.
Ariela concluded with a relatable sentiment, which fans applauded in the comment section, “I’m not sure about you, but I get tired of seeing these inauthentic Instagram couples posting their perfect love, we don’t have a perfect life or love. I don’t believe anyone does.” Ariela’s Instagram post tends to prove that her family and marriage are thriving despite the perceptions and expectations of other people.
