Bobby Fish made a splash at Impact Wrestling Victory Road and has appeared on AXS for the company where he’s talked about coming to the company for a legitimate fight.
To that end, he expressed interest in going right to the top to face Josh Alexander for the Impact World Championship. To do that, he’s entering the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound For Glory.
Since it’s in his hometown of Albany, New York he believes the stars are aligning for him to win and take the title, whether it’s from Josh or Eddie Edwards, who will challenge Josh for it at Bound For Glory.
This sets up a pretty good match at Bound For Glory given the other stars that are taking part in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet, but does this mean he’s going to stick around in Impact Wrestling?

Not yet signed
Impact Wrestling has an open door policy, meaning they’re willing to work with any company or wrestler that wants to work with them, so we get to see all kinds of names appear from time to time.
It’s a great way to helping wrestlers to show new fans what they can do and we get to enjoy the different stars and styles out there. It’s a win-win in many ways, but there are drawbacks.
Those drawbacks come in the form of short runs as Impact may have a handshake deal in place or a contract for a limited number of shows, and it appears Fish may fall into one of these categories.
While it’s great at letting talent cycle through so we appreciate see them even more when they come back, it can be tough on fans to follow our favorites.
A perfect example is Fish since as of now, it’s believed that he hasn’t signed a contract with the company yet, so his appearances could lead to a signing after the pay-per-view.
One way to look at it is he could be on a “prove it” deal where he’s given a number of appearances (usually a year in pro sports) to show what he can do, and if he continues to be as over with the fans as he was at Victory Road he could be a great asset in the future.
Do you think Fish will sign with Impact Wrestling, or will he work his way back and rejoin Triple H in the WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
