Elon Musk has been in the headlines for the past year for several reasons. One of them, and most probably the most bizarre reason of them all is his reproduction. In a recent interview for the Financial Times, he doubled down on his support for multimember families. Furthermore, he suggested that he thinks about having more children of his own.
Elon Musk has 9 children. Most recently he fathered twins with one of the top executives in his companies. In the interview, the billionaire confessed that he is not planning to stop his reproduction any time soon. Elon Musk already passed the fifth decade of his life. Nevertheless, he still feels potent to ‘contribute to the world’ and raise a few more children.
Elon Musk’s Friends Suggest He Should Have 500 Children – He Thought About It But Thinks It Would Be ‘A Bit Weird’
The billionaire even told the editor that some of his close friends suggest that he should have 500 children. Given his controversial character, Elon Musk naturally saw this idea as tempting. However, he said that he is willing to reproduce to the point where he can be a good dad. If he was referring to his ability to financially support his children, then he is far from his limit. However, if he is saying this in the context of spending time with his offspring, then he might be over the limit.
Tesla and SpaceX’s CEO told the outlet that he is not planning to father children in the upcoming period. According to him, his hands are already full of work. He strives to make fully autonomous vehicles in the following few years, and to send people to Mars. He also denied the claims that he bought a fertility clinic to advance population growth.
Elon Musk has spoken about his views on the world and the first world problems, and we all know that underpopulation is in his number 1 spot. His most recent post about the underpopulation matter was several months ago when the news about his twins with Shivon Zilis came to light.
Musk speaks about population collapse every chance he gets. He sees underpopulation as being the highest threat to the world in the following 100 years. He suggests that with the current birth rate, there will be a shortage of people in many countries, with Japan and New Zealand at the top of the risk list.
Analysts and population experts are not siding with Elon on this one. Many suggest that the world has far bigger problems than this.
“Global population decline is therefore still some way off, and is likely to happen gradually when it does take place.” – Professor Alice Reid stated. “This can hardly be a catastrophe for civilization.” What do you think? Is the world at risk of having baby shortages?
