Singer Shakira gave her fans a clear indication that she has been left reeling from her split with her ex Gerard Piqué.

The duo, for their part, had been together for more than a decade. During the course of that process, they welcomed two children together: Milan and Sasha. But things came to a bitter end following allegations that Gerard had been unfaithful.
Not only that, but Shakira has found herself embroiled in a legal dispute concerning tax fraud. And by the looks of it, things are starting to become quite overwhelming.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, Shakira shared a clip of a heart being stomped over. The post was captioned by the following comments: “I never said anything but it hurt. I knew this would happen.”
Shakira did not mention Gerard’s name, but outside of an alternative explanation to the contrary, she must have been referring to him for the following reasons.
First of all, she had played an integral part in supporting his footballing career by moving to Spain. Secondly, the star has now become a single mother as her children have come to the realisation that their father is not going to be in the same household.
Although that has been very difficult, the pair did make it clear that they would be looking to give their children the best future going forward. In a joint statement at the time of the split, the pair said: “We regret to confirm that we are parting ways.
“For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.”
The fans on social media did not have a lot of sympathy for Shakira. This was simply on the basis that she did not cover herself in glory with her tax affairs. One person wrote: “Pay your taxes a hole.”
