William Regal & Tony Schiavone have known each other for years now, and tonight they will have a chance to talk live on air. With Regal recently showing some respect for MJF and his tactics, many are wondering if the old villian is truly dedicated to the Blackpool Combat Club, and Schiavone will look to pull the truth from Regal tonight.

FTR To Face Swerve In Our Glory To Name #1 Contenders For AEW World Tag Team Champions

Before this interview could begin, we’d hear from FTR. They hold three sets of tag team championships, but feel they need the AEW World Tag Team Championships to truly be the best team in the world. Swerve In Our Glory would take issue with this – saying they deserve the next shot at The Acclaimed as the former champions.

FTR would pitch that next week, they settle this in the ring. For the first time ever, it will be FTR vs. Swerve In Our Glory – with the winners going on to face The Acclaimed. Keith Lee was the one to accept the challenge, with Swerve Strickland less than impressed – which is just another rift between the former champion.

MJF Has A Story To Tell

As Regal would be asked about tonight’s main event – the music of MJF would hit, the Devil himself would saunter out to the ring. Regal would put the brass knuckles on just incase, only for MJF to say that he’s not here to fight. MJF is here to tell a story, and Regal would be wise to listen to it all.

When MJF was 19, he was training at Create-A-Pro, and he got WWE extra work. That was a chance, and he got his best gear and suit to go to the Barclays Center. The extras would be gathered up and spoke to by Regal, who said they had tryout matches. MJF’s match was second, with Arn Anderson, William Regal, Dean Malenko watching. Malenko ended the first at the opening lock up – and the pressure was on.

MJF would win his match, and everyone looked at him like he had eight heads. Regal would pull him aside, and MJF was told he had three minutes to sell himself to Regal. MJF would do it, and the jaw of Regal was on the floor by the end. Regal would promise to get MJF a job there, and MJF was ready to be a superstar.

What Made MJF Want To Retire At 19

MJF would be asked his age, and Regal would say he was much too young for this chance after all. Regal would list off names he got to WWE as stars, including Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli. When MJF was of age, Regal would work to get him a job. All MJF had to do was send in monthly matches and promos.

Two months, and Regal held up his end of the bargain. On month three, MJF got a reply saying Regal was too busy for someone not showing the skills needed. Regal would tell MJF to become a star and try again, as WWE only hires the best. That’s how Regal crushed the dreams of a 19 year old kid. MJF wanted to quit wrestling, and made him want to end his life.

He pushed on to not let the doubters win. Now in 2022, Regal is just a man who got fired and snuck into MJF’s company by leeching off talent who are better than Regal ever was. MJF is now viewed as a generational talent, and a man who WWE would kill to have on their roster. Regal’s email is read every day, as a way for MJF to get a good laugh. MJF views him as a joke, while MJF is better than him – and Regal knows it.

William Regal Asks MJF To Prove Himself A Devil

Regal would say job done. MJF was 19 and claimed he was a child. Regal was 16 fighting grown men in a carnival to earn his spot. Yes, he turned MJF down – because he wanted to light a fire under his ass. You can’t get into the industry like Regal did, and if an email seven years ago was what did that for MJF? He’s had it easy.

MJF has had it easy, because he mastered something special. He mastered being noticed by handling a microphone. MJF is an incredible wrestler, and would do what Regal did – and went beyond by attacking men like Tony Schiavone. Shortcuts like that to get the ire of fans prove nothing. MJF hires people to do his work, and uses a ring to knock people out.

Regal only used brass knuckles because it was fun hitting them with it. Shortcuts don’t make a villain, don’t make a devil. Regal turned his back on MJF and told him to make a name for himself. He’d put the ring on, but the words of Regal struck a nerve. Regal noted that MJF still has much to prove, and walked off.

Should MJF have taken the shot at Regal? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
