When asked to pick an opponent for rival Cora Jade, Roxanne Perez would find a lot of options when she would visit Smackdown Live. However, knowing the past of Cora Jade – there was really only ever one correct answer. She would pick former NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Rodriguez, who was a tag team partner of Jade’s in the past. Tonight, Jade will have to confront her past – and she if she can overcome it.
Cora Jade Forces A DQ, Ends Up Laid Out
Jade would come to the ring with her black kendo stick in hand, which could be a difference maker come Saturday when she’s in a Weapons Wild match. Raquel would chase her into a corner as the bell rang, before throwing her face first into the turnbuckle with Snake Eyes. On the outside, Raquel would take Jade onto the announce table and slam down with a chop.
Jade tried to free into the ring, but was pulled back to the table – barely able to avoid the second chop. Jade would take advantage and hit some desperate strikes, before being run down with a shoulder tackle. The Kendo Stick would be brought into the ring, and Raquel would block before nailing Jade in the stomach.
Jade wins via DQ, but Perez would attack from behind as she would gloat. Perez would run Jade off with the Kendo Stick – but there will be no running come Saturday at Halloween Havoc.
Austin Theory Plans To Throw Wrench In Plans
Kevin Owens is back in WWE to stir the pot ahead of Halloween Havoc. It’s time for The Kevin Owens show, with Bron Breakker, JD McDonagh, & Ilja Dragunov. These three men will meet for the NXT Championship this Saturday, and have been physical in recent weeks – with an intense triple threat to come. They’ll sit down tonight, but Kevin Owens won’t be telling them to hold their punches.
Breakker would arrive last, with Owens explaining Shawn Michaels asked him to host this – and keep things to talking. However, he doesn’t like the odds with JD McDontGoogleMe stirring the pot. However, JD claims he can be called anything he wants – cuz Saturday you can just call him NXT Champion.
Dragunov would say that last week he was aiming at JD, but hitting Breakker was fine. It made him realise that Breakker is human, he’s beatable – not an invincible warrior. At Halloween Havoc, Dragunov makes up for missing Worlds Collide, and claims the belt he deserves. Breakker said that this can happen over his dead body, and proved Dragunov is beatable with the spear last week.
Owens would incite a brawl by saying no one wants JD as champion, so Dragunov & Breakker better get along and make sure it doesn’t happen. As things broke into a brawl, we’d see the NXT return of Mr. Money In The Bank – Austin Theory. That briefcase is good for a title shot, and the NXT Championship could be fair game. Ilja Dragunov would stand tall – staring down Theory on the ramp with title in hand.
