Calgary Woman in Life-Threatening Condition After Being Attacked by a Group Downtown
The assault happened at 12:45 AM on 8th Avenue and 1st Street SW in downtown Calgary. According to authorities, those who witnessed the attack said that “multiple offenders.” The victim was rushed to a local hospital in life-threatening condition.
As of the initial report at roughly 8 AM, the Calgary Police said that the woman was undergoing emergency surgery but that was the last they had heard of her status.
Currently, authorities are seeking anyone who witnessed the attack or the events leading up to it—any information that could progress the case. Businesses in the area are also being asked to review their surveillance footage for anything surrounding the assault.
