Over the past few years, we’ve seen many names join up with All Elite Wrestling. Tony Khan has been working hard to build a roster to rival even that of WWE, signing the best of the independents – and some key stars and names that WWE has let go. Their latest acquisition was revealed during AEW’s debut show in Canada – as Renee Paquette would join the company as a broadcaster. This was a major get for AEW given her popularity, and Tony Khan is glad to be working with someone so professional.
Tony Khan Calls Renee Paquetee “A Consummate Professional”
During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Tony Khan would have a chance to talk about signing a name like Renee Paquetee. AEW’s CEO would be quoted saying the following.
“Renee is new to AEW, but she’s a very familiar face. She’s a consummate professional and brings so much knowledge and experience to our production backstage, and she’s brought her amazing presence to AEW TV. We’re very excited to have her … Her brain is so valuable for us to have backstage producing the shows.”
It’s highly likely that Khan & Paquette met many times prior to her officially joining the company, with Paquette married to three time AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. Her signing was well received by fans of AEW, which saw her take some on-screen duties away from Tony Schiavone, allowing him to focus on his new backstage roles as a Senior Producer, Special Advisor & his involvement with Talent Relations.
We’ve also seen Paquette take AEW star Darby Allin on her popular The Sessions podcast, which is likely to be a trend. Alongside Talk is Jericho & AEW Unrestricted, it’s likely we will see many big AEW names get podcast time on her show. It’s signings like this that improve the show when the company is already full of some of the greatest wrestlers in the world.
