Viewers of Sister Wives believe that Kody Brown has a problem accepting Christine’s independence following their divorce. Christine has returned to Utah because she has decided to take care of her own life. However, Kody is at fault for his inability to accept his new circumstances.
Kody looks upset whenever he has to talk to or about Christine these days. The father of 18 has always said he is the head of the family, but as time has passed, he has lost control of his four wives. Christine has been honest about how she doesn’t love her husband and has even called her wedding band a “noose,” but Kody keeps trying to break the rules.
Kody Brown Finds It Hard To Accept Christine’s Independence
During a Zoom call with the family, Kody said that Christine seemed to be trying to take charge and “control” the meeting, which left him with a bad taste in his mouth. During this new season of Sister Wives, Kody hasn’t been shy about giving Christine his sexist thoughts.
He has said that he hates her and that she betrayed him in front of cameras. In a recent confessional, Kody said that Christine has become increasingly independent, saying she has an “I don’t need you guys anymore” attitude. Meanwhile, Christine has stuck to her plan to move back to Utah, sell her home in Arizona, and keep the money. Kody thinks she is selfish, but Christine is just putting herself first instead of the family.
Kody has clarified that he doesn’t like the new way Christine is acting. His remark that she should still “submit” to the group’s requirements got many people angry. In the current season, Kody got so upset that his wives were getting more independent and then called for patriarchy to be set up in the family. He said he wouldn’t have to deal with disrespectful people if that happened.
Viewers of Sister Wives can see that Kody is losing his hold. He may have thought he could get four women to do what he wanted, but this seems like an unrealistic hope. Christine and the other wives were bound to want their lives to be full. Maybe Kody would have gotten his wish to be in charge of the Brown family if he hadn’t run away from Utah. But his life didn’t turn out like that.
