That is according to royal author James Patterson. This revelation is quite telling since Harry was branded as a ‘spare.’
This allegedly emerged when Prince William had apparently stated that he did not want to be King to which Harry said: “Well, I’ll do the job instead of you then.”
Not only that, but it was also in light of the fact that William was seen as the next heir to King Charles III.
And this sentiment was recently confirmed in Charles’ first speech to the nation in which he made clear how proud he had been to see William take the “Scottish titles which ha[ve] meant so much.”
And in the process of doing so, Charles did wish Harry and Meghan Markle the best with their lives overseas. That created a perception that Prince William had been favoured, and this was something that Diana was against.
In his comments, James said: “I think she tried to control it as much as she could…That’s a standard thing for families. One of the kids who do better in school or become a better athlete seems to be a little more charming and lovable.
“How do you make the other kids feel that they’re just enough?” It is quite telling that Harry’s memoir has been called ‘Spare’ which promises to be an unfiltered account from the perspective of not being at the behest of the Royal Family.
The book is set to come out on Tuesday, 10th January 2023. And the description to the memoir has hinted that Harry will be as frank as possible.
Fans can expect to see the Duke of Sussex delve on various topics, such as his childhood, marriage to Meghan and even what it has been like to become a father.
